Business Advising Expertise
Geoff is Of Counsel to the firm. His focus is on advising and counseling businesses on the challenges of running a business in the State of California. This includes on-site and virtual training; developing, reviewing, and implementing employee handbooks and other employment documents (such as separation agreements); conducting internal investigations; general advice and counsel; and crisis management. He also defends employment lawsuits.
Geoff graduated cum laude from the University of San Francisco School of Law, and is an honors graduate of the University of California at Davis. He has worked in BigLaw environments, including Brobeck and Morgan Lewis, and has dedicated the majority of his practice to representing businesses across many industries and sizes in employment matters. Geoff has extensive litigation and trial experience, including trying one of the very few wage and hour class action cases that has gone to trial in California.
A Wide Range of Experience
Geoff excels in his ability to deliver advice that is legally sound, empathetic, and practical. As one of his clients said, “Geoff does what he does so that you can thrive at whatever it is that you do.” Through his own firm—The Law Office of Geoffrey M. Hash—he also assists non-profit entities, federally recognized Indian tribes, and start-up entities, all working through a wide range of challenges and opportunities. At Medina McKelvey, he draws on these diverse experiences to provide business-centric advice and to counsel and train employers on complex employment law issues.
