He utilizes his trial and litigation experience to provide practical advice that focuses on reducing the risk of disputes and litigation, including by anticipating and addressing common, complex, or subtle problems before your business is involved in litigation. Grant strives to provide a range of options while tailoring his advice to balance your business’s unique risk tolerance levels within budgetary constraints.

Strong Credentials

Grant is a proud UCLA Bruin, graduating with a double major in political science/international relations and business/economics. He graduated in the top third of his class from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he achieved top marks in evidence, legal research and writing, and trial advocacy.

In 2015, Grant was certified as a specialist in Franchise & Distribution Law by the Board of Legal Specialization for the State Bar of California. In 2017, he advised the Board of Legal Specialization on the administration of the specialization exam. He served on the Franchise Law Committee for the Business Section of the California Bar from 2010 through 2015, including as co-chair for the Committee in 2015, chair of the employment/independent contractor subcommittee, and chair of the arbitration subcommittee. Grant was also a co-speaker for the California Bar Hot Topics Seminar Franchise Relations: Independent Contractor or Employee.

Grant also has many years’ experience representing domestic operations for Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Italian, Dutch, and German manufacturers and distributors. He also served as chair of the California litigation department for a prior firm from 2007 to 2011.
