ABOUT JAMIE

Jamie Chanin Pollaci is a seasoned employment litigator and trusted advisor who helps employers resolve complex workplace challenges with clarity and confidence. With a steady, pragmatic approach and deep knowledge of California employment law, Jamie supports her clients through the full lifecycle of employment litigation—from early case assessment and risk evaluation through trial and appeal.

Jamie’s practice focuses on single-plaintiff litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, leave laws, accommodations, and wage and hour issues. She also litigates matters involving contracts, defamation, trade secrets, and non-compete agreements.

Jamie has successfully tried cases in both state and federal courts and has defended favorable outcomes before the Ninth Circuit and other appellate courts.

Because of her trial experience, Jamie is well-versed in working up a case with an eye toward trial when that is the client’s end goal.

In addition to her litigation experience, Jamie regularly counsels clients on employment practices and internal investigations. She partners closely with HR teams and business leaders to ensure that advice is practical, thoughtful, and responsive to the organization’s needs. Her style is highly collaborative and engaged clients trust her not just to respond, but to anticipate. She approaches each matter as part of a long-term relationship, helping employers build strong, resilient practices and navigate challenges in a way that aligns with their culture and goals.

Jamie works with employers in a variety of industries, including technology, retail, healthcare, hospitality, professional services, and the nonprofit sector.

Before joining Medina McKelvey, Jamie was a partner at Seyfarth Shaw, where she represented Fortune 500 companies, fast-growing startups, and mission-driven organizations in high-stakes employment matters across California. Jamie was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America™ for 2024 and 2025 in the area of Employment Law – an honor based entirely on peer review and professional excellence.

COMMITTED TO COMMUNITY

Jamie’s commitment to service is reflected in her long-standing involvement in pro bono work and charitable initiatives. At her prior firm, she served on both the pro bono and charitable contributions committees—coordinating volunteer efforts, supporting attorney participation, and facilitating firm support for community causes. She has personally handled and supervised pro bono matters involving asylum, adoption, foster care, HIV-related legal services, and employment advice for nonprofits. Jamie has also led food drives, clothing collections, holiday toy drives, disaster relief efforts, and fundraising events—demonstrating a consistent dedication to supporting those in need and building stronger communities.
