A Typical Day as a Receptionist Might Include
Front Desk & Reception
- Serve as the first point of contact at the front desk, greeting clients and visitors with a warm, professional demeanor
- Answer and route incoming calls promptly and courteously
- Assist with administrative overflow as directed
Mail, Packages & Correspondence
- Pre-assemble marketing collateral packets for mailing
- Package, label, and send correspondence and marketing collateral packets with a high level of attention to detail
- Check mail daily and scan to the email distribution list
- Receive and distribute packages to appropriate personnel
Facilities Support
- Monitor and restock coffee, beverages, and related supplies in client and staff areas to maintain a polished and welcoming environment
- Monitor and restock paper and other supplies for copiers and printers throughout the office
- Assist with the coordination of lunch orders for client meetings and internal firm events, including order placement, delivery confirmation, and basic setup
Office Upkeep
- Tidy and reset conference rooms following meetings, including disposing of trash, moving used materials, arranging furniture, and ensuring readiness for the next scheduled use
- Run dishwasher cycles daily and keep kitchen counters/sink clean and organized
- Other duties as assigned

Education/Training
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience/Skills
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or administrative support role, preferably in a professional services or law firm environment
- Strong understanding of professional office etiquette, client service standards, and confidentiality protocols
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) (experience with multi-line phone systems or legal practice management software a plus)
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and maintain discretion in managing sensitive information
- Comfortable working independently and within a team

Pay Range
We reasonably anticipate that the starting compensation range for this position will be $20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
