  • Changes to California Paid Sick Leave 

  • New leave for reproductive loss 

  • Updated employer obligations related to cannabis use and testing 

  • Further narrowed enforceability of non-compete agreements  

  • Creation of a rebuttable presumption of retaliation following specific employee conduct 

  • Standards for a Workplace Violence Prevention Plan for nearly all employers 

  • State and industry-specific minimum wage increases
