Senior Employment Attorney (Hybrid Opportunity)

We are hiring a wage and hour attorney with five to nine years of experience. The minimum billable requirement is 1,800 annual billable hours, but we are open to alternative billable thresholds. You will be eligible for bonuses, and total compensation for this position will range from $180,000 to $220,000. In essence, we are looking to acquire a high-caliber wage and hour attorney who is willing to work in a creative and collaborative environment where they can grow, innovate, and build a practice without the crushing demands of a traditional law firm, the antiquated business model, and the stuffy atmosphere.

WHO ARE WE?

Medina McKelvey is an employment law firm made up of former BigLaw attorneys with an entrepreneurial spirit, genuine joy for the practice of law, and a passion for peacemaking, service, and philanthropy. We are a rapidly growing full-service employment law firm with multiple practice groups—wage and hour defense; traditional employment litigation (“single plaintiff”); advice and counsel; wage and hour compliance training and certification; neutral workplace investigations; and employment mediation. We represent clients from all over the state and country in courts all over the state. We are a law firm with a big heart, a lively spirit, and a strong culture. We practice law with a client- and solution-first attitude and an unwavering desire to bring peace to our clients amidst the chaos of California employment law. Giving back is part of our mission, which includes sharing our profits with charities and those in need and fighting hunger, poverty, and human trafficking in real and tangible ways.

WAGE AND HOUR EXPERIENCE IS A MUST

You must have five to nine years of experience practicing employment law, with significant experience defending and resolve wage and hour class and PAGA cases. As one of the most innovative employment firms in the state, we are looking for the best and brightest to seize an opportunity to level up their wage and hour game.

OTHER CHARACTERISTICS WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • The eye for a great opportunity and the desire to grow personally and professionally along with the firm

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM US

  • A place where faith and family come first before work
  • No billable hour demands that crush your soul

  • Integrity and the highest ethical standards cover our entire practice; we live and practice by the Golden Rule
  • We want to make our clients stronger, which means defending them and helping them successfully resolve lawsuits, protecting them from future lawsuits, and preventing future conflict with employees
  • We are an all-Mac, paperless law firm and embrace new technology
