ABOUT CHRISTA
Christa Hall has become a trusted litigator in employment law defense, focusing on wage and hour litigation, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases. She previously worked for a top-tier international employment law firm, was a United States Attorney for the Northern District of California, a Deputy District Attorney for Alameda County, and clerked for the Honorable Judge Edward Davila in N.D.C.A. This deep litigation experience, both on the prosecution and defense side, makes Christa uniquely balanced and equipped to handle complex legal issues with both strategic insight and practical solutions.
Before transitioning to law, Christa served six years in the U.S. Air Force, including time with the Phoenix Raven program, a specialized security force that protects U.S. aircraft and personnel on high-risk international missions. Her military service, which took her to conflict zones in Afghanistan, Iraq, Djibouti, and throughout Africa, taught her to thrive under pressure and in complex, high-stakes environments—skills that continue to serve her in her legal career. Christa also served in the Obama Administration as the President’s Trip Manager—traveling and managing over 100 Air Force One trips around the globe—then later served as the Advisor to the President’s Deputy Homeland Security Advisor on the National Security Council.
At Medina McKelvey, Christa provides clients with tailored, strategic solutions to mitigate legal risks. Her experience in class and PAGA actions allows her to create comprehensive strategies that protect businesses and minimize exposure. Her diverse experiences give her a broad perspective on legal challenges and enable her to anticipate and address emerging risks with innovative, forward-thinking solutions. A public servant at heart, Christa brings a strong sense of duty to her work, focusing on creating solutions that not only protect businesses but also support the well-being of the communities they serve.
COMMITTED TO COMMUNITY
Outside her practice, Christa serves as a board member of the UC Law Journal at UC College of the Law, SF, and is an advocate for The Freedom Story, a non-profit working to prevent child trafficking through education and mentorship. She has also provided legal expertise pro bono to veterans through the Veterans Consortium.
In her personal time, Christa enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, gardening, and exploring interior design. She remains dedicated to giving back to her community through charitable efforts and volunteer work.
